You Deserve a Yoga Retreat

Let's be real. Since January 20th, we've all been experiencing some serious anxiety, some anger, and some fear. Not to mention, for us Boston JUGs,  it is still the middle of winter and we haven't gotten a serious dose of sun in a while. While we owe it to ourselves, our children, and society to stay politically active and to fight for what we believe in, we also need to pay attention to our mental health. Our favorite way to stay centered and keep those cortisol levels under control? Yoga.

We've dreamed of going on a yoga retreat for years - and have even incorporated yoga into some of our regular vacations. Here we are in Provincetown getting our zen on:

And we stay active at our bases in Boston and LA as seen below. But since we love to travel, a getaway to concentrate solely on wellness is just what the doctor ordered.

The cost is what's been holding us back from going in for a real-deal yoga retreat. These luxurious retreats can be hard to justify on a 99%-er's salary. But we recently discovered a yoga retreat tool that lets you plan a holistic getaway on practically any budget. lets you sort by price, duration and location so you can find something that meets your needs. There's a first-timer's 3-day Hatha Yoga retreat available in northern California for just $140 - which includes three vegetarian meals per day - damn!! Or you can daydream and look at the ultimate luxury retreats available - think a 15 day immersive experience in The Maldives for a cool $26,000. Yes, BookYogaRetreats has something for absolutely everyone. I'm keeping my eye on some of these surf + yoga retreats and some of the detox retreats.

We look forward to a more enriching 2017, no matter what we do, but hey yoga on the beach certainly helps! Tell us about your yoga plans on twitter @Justusgalsbos @bookyogaretreats, #bookyogaretreats!
