CAMERON BRUNS Ewing
co-founder & Chief Editor

Cameron (she/her) works in sales in the software industry where she’s also an advocate for corporate social responsibility.

She’s currently based in Dublin, Ireland and is pursuing a graduate degree in environmental sustainability at University College Dublin (UCD).

Cameron loves podcasts, audiobooks, trash TV, and she is excited to travel and start visiting art museums again once it’s safe to do so. Her fun fact is that she was named one of Boston’s most social people by Boston Magazine in 2015.

SUZANNE Brosnan

Suzanne (she/her) is a freelance UI/UX designer that loves working with emerging entrepreneurs. She started her own technical dress line, ZANNI, that she designs and produce in downtown Los Angeles.

After discovering her first blog, Design*Sponge, years ago, Suzanne has been hooked on blogs and was so excited to finally have a blog to call her own when JUGs started in 2012. When not designing or blogging you can find Suzanne stealing her boyfriend's clothes, cruising around her new hood, Venice Beach, with her French Bulldog or window shopping on Abbot Kinney. All opinions expressed on JUGs are, personally, that of Suzanne.

MEREDITH TENNIHAN

Meredith (she/her) is a leader in the exciting PropTech space after a 12-year foundation in residential real estate development.

She also enjoys brokering deals for those looking to buy a property as a side hustle! When the opportunity surfaced for a creative outlet outside of the office years ago, she jumped at the chance to write about her hometown city.

Meredith enjoys Sox games at Fenway and planning her next passport stamp to fuel her wanderlust. All opinions expressed on JUGs are, personally, that of Meredith.

Meghan Barrett

Meghan (she/her) is the Content Marketing Manager at Reward Gateway, an organization with a mission to Make the World a Better Place to Work. When she’s not writing about how to improve employee engagement, she can be found on JUGs, writing about anything from how to improve your wellbeing to uncovering local gems in the Greater Boston area. In her spare time, you can find her baking something gluten and dairy-free in the kitchen, reading a mystery novel, or relaxing at the beach. To keep up with Meghan, follow her on Instagram @meegzb.

Kelley BonTemps

Kelley (she/her) is the Head of Network Convergence at Carta, a San Francisco based FinTech startup that helps companies and investors manage their equity. She has worked in sales and business development for more than a decade. 

Kelley is also an artist, creating contemporary pieces for clients across the country. You can see her work on her website and instagram

Originally from California, Kelley moved to Boston two years ago with her husband. In her free time she loves taking long walks around the city, visiting art galleries, hosting dinner parties, going to Red Sox and Celtics games, and trying new restaurants.

Taylor Borowiec
WRITER

Taylor (she/her) is a marketing coordinator for an infrastructure firm responsible for completing proposals for a variety of services and fields, such as aviation, rail, structures and transportation. Originally from Connecticut, Taylor moved to Boston after graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2017.

When not working or writing, Taylor volunteers for both the Oncology Floor at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Heart Foundation. She is a voracious reader and loves going on camping trips across the country with her husband.

JULIA BLANCHARD
WRITER

Julia (she/her) is a Senior Technical Program Manager at HERE Technologies. She is working on Location Services technology. She’s worked at agencies, start-ups and more recently spent a few years at Amazon sharpening Alexa’s skills. Julia’s background has been working on Project/Program management for creative/functional web development and product development. She has a passion for technology and innovation that makes people’s lives more seamless and helping them spend more time doing what they love.
She is originally from Hopkinton, MA but has been living in Cambridge for the past 12 years. When Julia isn’t working she is having torrid love affairs with any puppy she walks by, drinking too much caffeine and eating her way through the city being the foodie that she is. She also loves to travel, and is eager to start again as soon as possible. You can also find her at the gym or swimming a few miles at MIT to celebrate her enthusiasm for fitness, nutrition and healthy living.

Heather FINN
WRITER

Heather (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who moved from New England to North Carolina in 2017. She works for a Managed Care Organization helping children with mental health needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Heather recently completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. She works as a Brand Ambassador for Work for Your Beer, a brewery fitness company based in Charlotte. Heather also volunteers for the alumni council at Lafayette College, her alma mater. She’s a member of the Junior League of Charlotte, and has been a part of the Junior League since 2014. She also recently began her PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development.

When she’s not working, you can find Heather reading a book, drinking coffee or a Moscow mule, or taking her dog to the park!

Lindsay gardner

Lindsay (she/her) is an instructional designer working at a health tech company in Boston and a part-time MBA student at Babson College. A native of Columbus, OH, Lindsay moved to Boston in 2015 and has been loving exploring the city and the larger New England area. 

Lindsay loves writing for JUGs and especially getting the chance to meet and work with many amazing female entrepreneurs. 

When she's not busy with work, school or writing, Lindsay loves visiting museums, wandering aimlessly around bookstores, drinking her way through breweries and losing at bar trivia. She often escapes the city to hike, ski, or visit family in Maine and New Hampshire.

COLLEEN GORDON
WRITER

Colleen (she/her), 35, is a social media manager at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She also has a photography business and works with women owned businesses. She is currently working on designing a bra that women actually want to wear.

Her passions are business, photography, wellness, and travel. When she is not working at the university, photographing, or blogging she is snuggled up with her Chihuahua, building her community, starting her business, traveling, hanging out with friends, trying new restaurants, and more. ALLIE KOVALIK

Allie (she/her) is a Community & Culture Manager supporting employee engagement, growth + development, retention and wellness for a global HR organization. Her focus is on establishing a collective approach to creating community and cultivating a place for people to feel comfortable, supported and safe to speak up, and share ideas - ultimately contributing to a global community made up of cultures from all over.

Allie hails from the White Mountains of NH, but has been calling Cambridge home for almost a decade. Perhaps it's the ever growing restaurant scene, close proximity to both the airport and ski resorts, or the endless stream of live music gigs and dogs to pet, but Allie's love affair with Cambridge (and coffee) runs deep. Emily Movsessian
WRITER

Emily (she/her) is a native of Massachusetts and loves living in beautiful New England. She is figuring out post grad life and is currently interning in order to gain and further develop skills. In the future, Emily hopes to earn a Master’s degree in a business related field. 

Emily loves traveling and is excited to explore new places once it is safe to do so. Visiting museums, trying new restaurants, and going to live music events are some of her favorite pastimes. She enjoys writing, baking, and testing out different recipes. Emily is so much of a foodie that she even has an Instagram account dedicated to it (@ems.eats.n.experiences).

Sustainability is another one of her focuses and she has volunteered at a local non-profit for over a decade.

Tanya Roy-White
writer

Tanya (she/her) is a graduate student in mental health, who recently made Boston her home. Her previous career as an analyst for a think tank allowed her to indulge her love of research, which she has parlayed into the mental health field. She’s part of several research labs, and is interested in a range of mental health issues, from immigrant access to care, to mental health programs for health care workers. She loves writing about literature, mental health, and the value of community and relationships.

She enjoys hiding out under fluffy blankets with piles of books, and exploring all the amazing food Boston has to offer. She "reads" cookbooks like novels and attempts to recreate the dishes she finds (with varying degrees of success). When she's not tucked away in a bookstore (or cafe's), you'll find her taking long walks near the harbour with her husband and dog, or surfing Airbnb for random places to visit.

Allie Runnion
ILLUSTRATOR

Allie (she/her) is an illustrator + designer specializing in surface pattern. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design and living in Boston for several years, she now works from her home studio in beautiful southern Maine. Her illustration and pattern work can meet the needs of the greetings, stationery, home, gift and wall art sectors as well as advertising, packaging, editorial, and publishing markets. Selected clients include Scholastic, Abrams Noterie, Babbel, Harrods of London, Design Design, Zöwie and Greetabl. Annie Shalvey
Social media manager

Annie (she/her) is a student communications and social media professional at a university in Rhode Island. A former TV news writer, her professional interests include content development, social media management, and blogging. She most enjoys writing about mental health and career/ professional development.

Annie is happiest watching or reading something spooky, thrift shopping, dancing at a concert, or driving on the highway with the windows down. Rhode Island has her heart always.
