Best Hotels in Boston for Your Parents

Since most of our apartments don't have kitchens capable of cooking a family size Thanksgiving meal, we return home for the festivities and once again become the guests of our parents. But what happens when our parents want to come into the city and be our guests? If you're like me, a twenty-something's apartment does NOT have room for anyone looking fresh linens, let alone an extra queen bed. So where do we point our parents when they want to stay in the city? I've got your go-to list. And, bonus, most of these hotels you'll probably want to spend a night or two in as well, if your parents will let you!

Ames Hotel

Liberty Hotel

Beacon Hill Hotel Bistro

Loews Hotel

Eliot Hotel

Westin Copley Place

Ames Hotel

1 Court Street Boston, MA 02108

Located in the Ames Building (considered Boston’s first skyscraper), the stylish Ames Hotel is situated right downtown, perfect for cruising around the city on foot.

Beacon Hill Hotel Bistro

25 Charles Street Boston, MA 02114

BHHB is an adorable European-esque boutique hotel located right in the heart of Boston's beloved historic neighborhood, Beacon Hill. Any guest will be pleasantly surprised by the updated amenities, award winning bistro and proximity to Boston’s Public Gardens.

Eliot Hotel

370 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA 02215

Located among rows of stately brownstones and baronial-style mansions, the Eliot is the quintessential Back Bay charmer. The last standing remnant of a once crowded hotel row along the Champs Élysées-styled Comm. Ave., the hotel was also once home to one of Boston’s first “singles” bar in the 1950’s.

Liberty Hotel

215 Charles Street Boston, MA 02114

Once home to Boston’s most notorious criminals, the Liberty surely is Boston’s hotel with the coolest resume. Today it is known for its unique jailhouse interior, five “It” restaurants and bars, as well as being a place known for the occassional celebrity sighting.

Loews Boston

154 Berkeley Street Boston MA 02116

The Loews hotel also has a pretty cool resume as it is located in the old Boston Police Headquarters building which was built in 1920. This hotel offers a great downtown location and it is pet friendly, which I find to be very important now when hotel searching (P I'll never leave you at home). And, like all other hotels in the Loews family, the Boston location is a strict enforcer of their Green Policy Program which is committed to reducing environmental impact and impliments food donations, strict recylcing efforts and non-wasting energy technologies.

Westin Copley Place Boston

10 Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02116

Located right in Copley Shopping Center, this is a great location for a guest looking to hit up the Newbury St. / Boylston St. shopping scene. Along with the shops, it is conveniently located near the South End (excellent dining) and local college campuses. Fitness Perk: They offer a New Balance Gear Lending Program which will provide you with everything you need for an impromptu workout, including running shoes and attire for just $5.
