While we eagerly wait for gyms and fitness studios to safely reopen, at-home workouts have become a necessity for maintaining our mental and physical health. These workouts can be streamed right from your phone or tablet, wherever and whenever you’re feeling like a good sweat session. Whether you’re into yoga, running or weightlifting, there is sure to be a virtual workout for you. Here are some of the best apps for at-home workouts that will keep you moving during quarantine.

Peloton

You probably know Peloton from their super popular (and super expensive) indoor spin bike and treadmill. But did you know that they also have an app with thousands of at-home workouts? The best part is, you don’t need the bike or treadmill to get access. On the Peloton app, you’ll find strength training, running, boot camp, yoga, and stretching classes. There’s even a feature that allows you to track your progress over time. The Peloton classes are available to stream through the app on your phone, tablet, or TV, and new users can try the app free for 30 days.

Adidas Training

The Adidas Training by Runtastic app offers a wide range of workouts, with varying levels of difficulty. There are more than 80 bodyweight-only workout videos, which is perfect if you don’t have gym equipment, like dumbells. The app has an easy to use interface, which shows you previews of upcoming exercises, and a timer to help you track each rep. You can even create a workout schedule for yourself, log your daily workouts, and sync the app with an Apple Watch to track performance metrics. The app is free to download and comes with a tiered premium plan for access to even more workouts and features.

Daily Yoga

If you’re looking to focus on your yoga practice during quarantine, then Daily Yoga is for you. The Daily Yoga app has over 50 million downloads, so you know it’s a good one. There are more than 100 yoga and meditation classes that are designed for all levels. If you’re new to yoga, the app has an entire series dedicated to beginners and introductory postures. The app comes with a dashboard where you can track your workouts and activity. You can also tap into the Daily Yoga user community to meet like-minded yogis, ask questions, and share your workouts. The app is free to download with the option to upgrade to a premium membership.

FitOn

FitOn touts itself as an “always free” fitness app, with workouts led by celebrity trainers. The workouts are designed to be accessible anytime, anywhere, and are geared towards people of all fitness levels. The workouts are bodyweight-only, meaning you don’t need fancy equipment for any of the exercises. The FitOn app includes hundreds of guided workouts, including cardio, HIIT, barre, pilates, yoga and much more. There are even specialized workouts for pre- and post-natal women. The app is completely free with unlimited access to every workout.

SHRED

SHRED is all about training smarter and getting stronger at home. The app offers dynamic and personalized training programs which are led by top trainers. The SHRED library has thousands of workouts and a diverse array of styles—think HIIT, cardio, bodyweight strength training, and more. You can toggle between a home and gym feature to access workouts that require equipment, or nothing at all. In the SHRED app, you can track your performance metrics and compare your stats to other users for friendly competition. New users can try the app free for one week.

During this period of quarantine, staying physically and mentally healthy is so important. Moving your body every day is a great way to destress and decompress from a long day of working from home. As the weather gets nicer, try taking your workouts outside for some sweat and sun!
