JUGS JAMS: Quarantunes Edition

We’ll admit that quarantine hasn’t been easy. Do this workout, read this book, make this bread, nap, be productive but also, take it easy …Since March, we’ve seen countless messages about how we should approach our time at home.

Quarantining has been a practice in slowing down, processing grief, turning inward and reflecting on the things that perhaps, we may take for granted. And, in the light of current events, we’re also using this time to listen, reflect, and learn (and donate, petition + safely protest!).

There are many things changing for us right now, including how we experience music. In the wake of cancelled events over the past weeks and months, we’ve seen some of Boston’s beloved music venues permanently shutter their doors, making us nostalgic for the old musical nirvana - gathering in the name of music, and embracing each other and everything that it means. We’re leaning into this feeling by listening to old favorites, classics, music that brings comfort and strokes our nostalgia, while simultaneously guiding us towards the future. I bring you Quarantunes - a corny title, but a damn good track list that all of us ladies at JUGS will continue adding to until this is over.

Happy Listening!
